What is a PLAYATHON?


A PLAYATHON is a fun and exciting way for kids of all ages to make a difference while they play. PLAYATHON uses age specific games and activities for children and adults alike to raise funds for the causes that the matter most to them. In a fun twist to classic fundraising vehicles like the Walkathon – participants secure pledges for their participation in a PLAYATHON event or pay a flat fee to play.



You can join us in helping by hosting a PLAYATHON to raise funds for SOS Children’s Villages. Funds will be used to purchase shelters or “pop up” houses that will give the children of Haiti a dry, secure house that will help protect them as Haiti rebuilds its country again! The small shelter costs $1,250 and the larger one is $2,500. From now until March 31, 2010, Hasbro Children's Fund will match the total amount raised through PLAYATHON for HAITI events in support of SOS Children’s Villages, up to a total of $500,000.
